In my morning, personal devotions today, I read the thoughts of Oswald Chambers in a devotional entitled "The Price of the Vision." I was struck first by the reference text he used: Isaiah 6:1, "In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord..." After reading those words, I was puzzled. Uzziah dies and then Isaiah saw the Lord? One of the more unusual verses to begin a devotional.
Sitting on a sand dune at the beach in South Haven, Gatorade in one hand, glow stick in the other, my family and I watched the 4th of July fireworks display.
